Hot Cocoa Brownie Cake Recipe

Ingredients
• Package brownie mix (“ready to mix” easily available in markets and departmental store)
• Whipping cup – 1/3 cup
• Chocolate chopped – 4 ounces
• Marshmallow Coffee Frosting
• Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
Procedure
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degree F.
2. Take a round cake pan of 9 * 1 ½ inches and grease its bottom. Keep the pan aside for sometime.
3. Prepare the brownie mix as mentioned in the direction. Pour the contents into the greased pan. Bake it accordingly.
4. To check whether or not your cake base is prepared take a toothpick and insert it in right into the middle of the cake. If the toothpick comes out clean then it will entail that the cake is ready.
5. Keep the cake in a different wire rack and keep it aside to cool down.
6. Take a small saucepan bring the cream to boil over medium flame. Remove the saucepan from heat. Add chocolate to the cream but do not mix it. Keep 5 minutes of standing time. Then stir the mixture until smooth. Chill the mixture for about 5 minutes.
7. Spread the chocolate over the brownie and smoothen the layer with the help of a spatula. Let it chill for another 30 minutes.
8. Meanwhile you can get down to preparing the marshmallow coffee frosting. Pipe or spread the frosting over the cake and then let it cool for another 15 minutes.
9. Preheat the oven to 450 degree F and bake the cake for 5 minutes until it is lightly browned. Cool it on a different wire rack and spread cocoa dust once it has cooled down.
Recipe for Marshmallow Coffee Frosting
Ingredients Needed
• Sugar 1 ½ cup
• Cold water 1/3 cup
• 2 egg whites
• Cream of tartar ¼ tsp
• Coffee liqueur or strong brewed coffee
• Vanilla 1 tsp
Procedure
• To make marshmallow coffee frosting combine sugar with cold water, egg whites and cream of tartar. Beat them into a smooth mixture on a low speed for 30 seconds. Take the bowl or the double boiler where you combined the ingredients mentioned and place it over boiling water.
• Do not forget to beat the mixture continuously at a high speed for 10 to 13 minutes. The best way to know that your mixture is ready is by checking its temperature with instant read thermometer. If the levels reach 160 degree F you know that your mixture is ready.
• Remove the pan from the heat and add liqueur and vanilla. Beat the mixture for another minute or until it is frosting and is fluffy enough to hold soft peaks.
