The Most Unearthly Places on Earth

Forty years have gone since man first landed on the moon but space travel still remains a distant dream. In the meantime, we have plenty of surreal and unearthly landscapes on the planet that attracts hoards of space aficionados and astral travelers.

Valle de la Luna (Valley of the Moon), Chile :- When Aldrin described the moon's landscape as 'magnificently desolate', he might as well could have been talking about Valle de la Luna. This Chilean valley paints a surreal landscape featuring land forms fashioned by centuries of elemental erosion and distant volcanoes. To view the place in its full glory, visit during the sunset when the setting rays.

Southeastern Utah, USA :- The first you see this place, you will be forgiven for thinking that you were teleported to Mars. Canyon lands and Arches National Park bears astounding similarity to the Maritian landscape with its rugged spires, craters, arches and bridges. Try to plan your visit during the summer when the Maritian semblance is at its max.  Lac Abbé, Djibouti :-  The view from the Lac Abbé  seems unlike ever seen on any place on Earth – time bends, space seems to extend as far as the eye can see, the landscape is scattered with natural smoking 'chimneys' and creepy salt plains.


Nubra Valley, Ladakh :- Often referred to as 'Moonland', Ladakh is a surreal land bound by majestic mountains.
